Van life has made our travel goals possible this 2021 despite the pandemic. Especially this Spring, we can whip up a little surprise adventure with our family, friends, and even our special someone. A fancy idea is to rent an RV, it’s like driving your 5-star suite made for all your adventure needs.
One with Nature
Ridley Creek State Park is one of the most-loved campgrounds in PA and it is only 27 minutes away from the RV pick up point! Here, you will get to enjoy the large space perfect for a romantic picnic with fire pits. You can also enjoy various activities such as hiking 13 miles of trails, wildlife watching, fishing, biking, horse riding, and even hunting but only in authorized areas.
This is also a lovely venue for a proposal. Making this one of the well-known romantic photoshoot locations.
Camping Prices are listed below and you can make reservations by calling 888-727-2757, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day holidays.

Side Trip
A 30-minute drive from Ridley Creek State Park, you will get to visit Peirce-du Pont House
Built in 1730 by Joshua Peirce, the Peirce-du Pont House is the oldest structure in Longwood. It contains the Longwood Heritage Exhibit, a collection of historic photos, artifacts, home movies, and video that tells the story of the stewards of the land who preserved and developed the property.
You will also get to see the Open Air Theatre, Indoor Children’s Garden, Palm House, Orchid House, Mediterranean Garden, Exhibition Hall, East Conservatory, and Cascade Garden to name a few.

Charlestown Manor Beach and Campground in Edgewater MD is only an hour drive from the RV pick up point. It is nestled in a residential neighborhood and complete with its own private sand-covered beach. It is tranquil and perfect for an intimate celebration while basking in the sun. Not only that, but you can also enjoy boat rides and play volleyball or giant-sized games like Jenga and Connect Four. There is also an indoor snack shack but if you can also use a flat top grill at the covered picnic area.

Side Trip
An 18-minute drive from Charlestown Manor Beach And camgroun, you will get to visit Plumpton Park Zoo!
Plumpton Park Zoo is a small, local zoo highlighting exotic, farm and area woodland animals plus birds and reptiles, too. You can also purchase petting zoo food and hand-feed some of the zoo’s friendly animals.
